Ghost Squad is one of my absolute favorite light gun games. There are 2 versions – Ghost Squad: Evolution re;eased by Sega in the Arcades in 2004 and then Ghost Squad on the Wii which was released in 2007.
One of the reasons that I like it is that it is slightly more modern than a lot of light gun games so it looks great. Especially when you upscale it using Dolphin or something similar.
It came out on the Wii allowing you to play it as a light gun game using the wii mote controllers and ideally the wii zapper controller. Playing it that way with the cross hairs enables is fine but like all light gun games on the wii, not the ideal way because you are really moving the cross hairs around rather than aiming.
To get the best experience, you need to play on a PC using an emulator.
Its easy to set up on Dolphin and of course, you can play using your favorite light gun for more accurate aiming.

Philip is a life long gamer and enthusiast.
He first started gaming in the 80’s on an Atari 2600 and has never looked back. He has owned just about every major console since then.
His passion for retro gaming and emulation sprung from trying to recapture the excitement of playing light gun games like Time Crisis and Point Blank in the arcades by emulating them on a PC and has grown from there into a love of emulation and Retro Gaming.
